Group Rides
We organise training rides throughout the year. Some are formal training such as track training in groups, others are more informal road bunch rides or cyclo-cross training days.
Group Ride Calendar
We usually run group rides all year round, but start times can vary in winter. Any variations to the rides for the coming week are normally updated on a Sunday evening. You can also keep up to date with our CCCC Facebook Group and CCCC Facebook Page. To be involved, you are required to have a Cycling Australia licence.

The North Loop
Usually Saturday morning, 6:30am from Terrigal Pub, 7:00am from West Gosford Shops, and then north through Wyong and Toukley, up to Lake Munmorah NP and return via The Entrance for approx. 100km. Ends at approx. 10:30am back to Forries for coffee. Decent pace ride but a no drop ride, regroup after any hills etc. Also has options to reduce total kms to 60km by cutting out at Tuggerah or to 80km by skipping the NP section.

National Park Ride
Starting at Terrigal Pub, this coastal loop heads north through Wamberal and The Entrance, then continues on to Munmorah State Conservation Area before looping back to The Entrance and returning to Terrigal for approx. 75km. Steady pace with regroups; perfect for building endurance or enjoying a fast, flowing morning ride.

Wednesday Chop
Rolling out from the carpark in front of Jimmy G’s at 5:20am sharp, this mid-week hit-out is a brisk out-and-back through Gosford and along the waterfront before looping around Koolewong and Woy Woy for approx. 32km. The route is mostly flat with a few short rises, making it ideal for fast bunch work and sharpening the legs before the weekend.

The Friday Chop
Friday mornings (mostly in the warmer months) meeting at Forries, this is a grouped handicap chop from the Entrance to Budgewoi roundabout and back, regroup at the Entrance and roll back to Forries for coffee.

PITS
The Pie In The Sky Ride. Can be from Somersby, Gosford or Terrigal usually, but wherever you start, it’s up to the Pie In The Sky cafe in Cowan via the Old Pacific Highway and back. From Terrigal, there and back is approx. 100kms.

The Palmy
A Coastie institution, the ride from Ettalong up to the old Pacific Highway, the Mooney Mooney climb, down through Ku-ring-gai National Park taking in Bobbin Head Climb up to Palm Beach to catch the ferry back to Ettalong (120kms)

Wiseman’s Ferry Loop
Clockwise
This is one of the club’s classic long-distance adventures, taking in Brooklyn, Wisemans Ferry and Peats Ridge. Multiple long climbs, steady pace, and regroup points throughout. Best suited to experienced riders comfortable with full-day outings.

Mandalong Loop
Rolling from Terrigal Pub, this endurance loop heads north before climbing through Mandalong and returning via The Entrance. Steady pace with regroups. Scenic rural roads and a solid mid-ride climb.

Round The World
A scenic full-Coast circuit featuring rolling climbs through Mandalong and a fast run home via Swansea and The Entrance. Steady endurance pace with regroup points; ideal for riders looking for a solid long day out. Shorter options exist by cutting back at Wyong or looping home early via Lake Munmorah depending on the day.

Dog Trap
The terrain is a mix of long drags, sharp pinches and fast descents, making it a great mid-length ride for building climbing strength. A supportive no-drop approach applies, with regroups after major climbs and at key turns across the Somersby plateau. Well suited to riders wanting a solid morning of hills without committing to a full-day endurance loop.

Short North Loop
A lighter version of the North Loop featuring flat coastal roads and a few short rises around Noraville. Steady, social pace with regroups; perfect for a mid-distance morning ride.
